The first episode of the football show for the 2008 season has been produced, and will be shown on Aurora TV tonight. Expect the first upload of the show tomorrow. I will link to the new account where they will be uploaded tomorrow when the first episode goes live online.
The process is entirely different this year, and we’re working hard to really bring the quality up as high as possible. We’ve made some great headway I think. The sound for this episode was a little rushed however, and the music beds I’m not happy with. However, I’ll leave the perceived quality up to the viewers.
We’ve shaken up the format a little this year, and I think it will be to good effect. Everything is a lot cleaner, and the new panel format I think makes it more watchable simply because its somewhat more interesting. Episode 1 is a bit untidy, and is still missing some key assets due to the short pre-production schedule. I expect episode 2 to be much more complete, and episode two’s content should basically mirror how the rest of the season will run.
A few interesting new tidbits:
Each episode is now exactly 15 minutes long, no shorter or longer
The panel will regularly feature last year’s regular match commentator Walter Pless, and WIN news sports editor Jeremy Arnold. Each week will feature a coach, player or other associated person who will be able to discuss the games, their opinions on the state of the game, and exchange general banter.
Transitions are now cleaner and faster.
The edit time for the show has decreased dramatically.
The panel is shot in widescreen.
Any opinions on the first episode can be voiced here or on our YouTube page once they go up. We’re very keen to hear feedback, as we want to make the show as good as possible for the viewer – which ultimately is the goal of any televised programme.
Cheers

Well, these are interesting thoughts. I think they are true. However, everything is
relative and ambiguous to my mind.

One year and four days later, you make this curiously cryptic post. Good for you!
